It seems that the Alberta PCs can't get the votes counted and audited in time for the 11 PM news cycle which is now ending... at midnight. The last claim is that the auditors hired by the Alberta PCs slowed down the process too much.

Here it comes... nope just a teaser again. "Join us at 8 AM for the latest" and... gone.

So instead, Global News Calgary filled these last precious moments of news time with a Guinness World Record of a guy doing consecutive squats standing on an exercise ball. An impressive feat... I likely could not do one. I missed the total number, too. Hooray for this important news.

I think it's time for a new conspiracy theory... the results number is not a good one for King Ralph and it required avoidance of the final news cycle and spin planning to go into the morning. We shall see. Time for me to begin an internet hunt.

Glad I didn't head around downtown to get a closer look and listen to the action and the parties. I have to be up at a decent hour to catch a mid-morning ride to Edmonton.

Happy 40th anniversary weekend to my Aunt and Uncle in Edmonton, Sally and Eldon Evenson. And thanks of course to the venerable Uncle Fred for setting me up once again with a nice place to sleep in Edmonton.

G'night.
